MEDICAL FACIALS
A medical facial is a skincare treatment that can be tailored to help target your specific complexion issues including acne, hyperpigmentation, hydration, skin texture, and anti-aging utilizing exfoliation, extractions, masks, and led light therapy. Our Esthetician will meet with you and tailor your facial based on your needs and concerns.
What is a Medical Facial?
A medical facial uses medical-grade tools and active ingredients that are customized to treat specific concerns. A skin analysis is performed prior to the treatment. Medical facials are highly customizable and can be tailored to your specific skin needs and concerns. They provide a skin rejuvenating treatment by working beyond the surface of your skin. Additional treatment add-ons such as dermaplaning may be incorporated to physically exfoliate the top layer of the skin and enhance the absorption of medical-grade products. Medical facials are also an effective complement to in-office treatments such as botox, dermal fillers, and laser skin resurfacing.
Who is a good candidate for a medical facial?
All treatments are customizable, making medical facials great for nearly everyone. They can address a large spectrum of skin concerns.
Some skin concerns we target are:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Age spots
- Dull Skin
- Sagging skin
- Acne, scarring, and related concerns
- Noninflammatory breakouts (blackheads/whiteheads/milia)
- Sun spots, age spots, hyperpigmentation
- Enlarged pores
Who is not a good candidate for medical facials?
Those using medications that render skin very sensitive may not be candidates for medical facials. If you are unsure, you should ask your primary care physician prior to making an appointment. As with any form of facial treatment, certain active ingredients and modalities should be avoided if you are pregnant or nursing. It is important that you discuss any allergies, skin sensitivities, underlying conditions, or medications being taken with the esthetician prior to receiving a medical facial.
